Pride of Passion are delighted to announce the release of our new EP. It is available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp from May 24th 2025
Pride of Passion were formed by 2 former members of Marillion in 1984 (Diz Minnitt and Brian Jelleyman) along with Nigel Spennewyn, Deborah Hopper and Barry Talbot but disbanded in 1987. When Barry Talnot left, he was replaced by Gtant Gilmour (The Enid and Craft) After Brian Jelleyman left the band he was replaced on keyboards by one Steven Wilson (What ever happened to him?)
After a hiatus of 36 years, Pride of Passion reformed in late 2023. With the core of original members, Deborah, Diz and Nigel entered Kore Studios to record some backing tracks. During 2024 they finished 4 songs for their EP 'Brink of the Horizon' at Electric Pepperland Studios. They were joined by Jem Davis from the band FM on keyboards, renowned session drummer Philipp Groyssboeck and Alissimon (Diz's daughter) on BV's, she recently supported FIsh at the London Palladium and Waterside Theatre Aylesbury on his final tour.
